Computer Science and Technology

The Department of Computer Science and Technology was founded in 1988, the Department of Computer Science was established in 1996, and the School of Information Engineering was established on the basis of the Department of Computer Science in 2000. In 2010, it was approved as a provincial characteristic major of ordinary colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province, in 2012, it was rated as the first batch of "pilot majors for comprehensive professional reform" in Shaanxi Province, in 2013, it was selected as a pilot major of the national "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program", in 2017, it was selected as a "first-class major" in Shaanxi universities, and in 2019, it was selected as a national first-class undergraduate major. There are 25 full-time teachers in this major, including 8 professors, 7 associate professors and 10 lecturers, forming a high-level teaching and research team composed of provincial famous teachers and outstanding talents in the new century.
