The history of Zhejiang Gongshang University (ZGU) goes back to 1911 when it was named "Hangzhou Business School", which was one of the first business schools in China. It was renamed "Hangzhou Institute of Commerce" in 1980 and then "Zhejiang Gongshang University" in 2004.

Living on Campus
ZGU provides on-campus accommodations for international students, fully furnished apartments, as well as cleaning service and on-campus dining hall. All apartments are equipped with air-conditioning, hot water, colour TV, refrigerator, internet and telephone. There is a public kitchen on each floor in the apartment building. Internet access is available on site.
Zhejiang Gong Shang University is consisted of two campuses: Xiasha Campus(now known as the Main Campus) and the Downtown Campus. The international students are mainly arranged in Xiasha Campus.
