Course Description Bachelors of Arts (BA) - 4 Years of Study (3 Years for Native English Speakers) * Our Bachelors courses in the Business and Economics Division cover all major areas of business management. Skills in analysing quantitative material will be developed alongside the ability to present good oral and written analysis. Students may study partly in Shanghai and partly in the UK, and receive a degree certificate from one of the nine SBC partner universities. Our degree gives you the flexibility to explore a range of topics and to specialise in line with your interests. You will learn about contemporary issues in business management and there will be opportunities to undertake project-based and individual work at a demanding level. Course Content Typical course modules include financial and management accounting, economics, organisational behaviour, statistics, supply chain management, management information systems, marketing, hr management, consumer behaviour, business strategy, and corporate social responsibility. Introduction
Students are normally expected to live on campus. Permission may be granted to live off-campus in exceptional cases. "International House" is conveniently located beside the main gate on Fuxing Road and within 1 minute's walking distance of both the SBC Library and Lecture Theatres. These recently renovated apartments have been installed with essential furniture and equipment, and each room comes with its own separate washbasin, shower and lavatory. Internet connection is available and inexpensive. International House provides accommodation for students from overseas in a safe, clean and comfortable environment. International Students are able to select from single-occupancy, shared 2-bed or 3-bed apartments. Accommodation fees are very affordable. All students are welcome to dine at the Chinese Refectory located beside the athletics track at the south end of the campus. The Chinese Refectory is conveniently only 3 minutes walking distance from the International Student Apartments. Meals are simple, Chinese style, and very affordable, and you will see students and staff from all over the world eat together here. Off-Campus dining is extremely convenient and full of variety that will cater to all tastes and budgets. Shanghai, being one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Asia provides international cuisine that rivals any major city in the world. But if you are content to opt for the local noodle stand you can be well-satisfied for just a few RMB.
