Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE), founded in 1917, is one of oldest and best financial university in China. It has the popular English-Medium BBA course. Besides, it is also prestigious for Training Chinese as a Foreign Language, fully preparing you to pass the HSK. 1. Introduction The aim of foundation course is to cultivate qualified candidates for undergraduate admission to SUFE. After one year’s time, both the Chinese proficiency and major knowledge of students could reach the level of the sophomores at SUFE. Students can enter the second year of our undergraduate course with all the credits if they successfully graduate from the foundation course

International Cultural Exchange School 
 
SUFE has the International Cultural Exchange School (ICES) , which is devoted to the education of foreign students. Education of international students began at SUFE in 1964. The earliest international students of SUFE came from Vietnam. Founded in 2001, ICES enrolls students who have won Chinese Government Scholarships or Native Government Scholarships, as well as students studying at their own expense.  
 
ICES offers multi-level educational opportunities , including doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate degree programs and language training programs. As of 2009, there were more than 1100 international students from over 90 countries studying at SUFE. Seventy percent of international students at SUFE are degree-seeking students. 
 
The Chinese language training courses emphasize the use of the language in business. In 2001, SUFE established the undergraduate major Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. And in 2006, ICES established a master’s degree major Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. In addition to long-term training, we also provide short-term Chinese language training programs. Accommodation


Accommodation and Service

All the international students can live in the International Students Apartment on campus. There are two types of room: single room and two-bed room. These two kinds of room are equipped with the independent toilet, air-conditioning, desk and chair, wardrobe , laundry and bedding items. It also offers broadband internet access and landline.

* A deposit of RMB 800 is to be paid when checking in and will be refunded when checking out.

* Electricity bills are based on the metered consumption. A deposit of RMB 100 of electricity bill is to be paid in No.8 and No. 7 building when checking in. Electricity bill in No. 1 building is to be paid monthly.

* Laundry fee is RMB 3 every time. The deposit of laundry card is RMB 10.
