Establishesd in 1958, Capital Normal University (CNU) a major training base particularly for teachers training in Beijing. It is a testing base for HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test). Besides, it is Beijing Mandarin Training and Testing Center and is the only training base of college entrance examinations for students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students. Since 1956, CNU has started to recruit international students. And Chinese, fine arts, music, dancing, calligraphy, etc are especially popular with international students. apital Normal University (CNU), founded in 1954, is a comprehensive institute of higher learning, embracing the sciences, liberal arts, engineering, management, law, education, foreign languages and arts, a key university of the Beijing municipality and a major training base particularly for teachers training in Beijing. CNU has been included in the government project of developing one hundred key universities in China in the 21st century. CNU has started to recruit international students since 1965.

In addition to 60 Masters and 26 Doctoral programs, CNU boasts 17 colleges and 45 departments that comprise more than 26, 000 students at present. All specialties of CNU are open to international students. Chinese, history, education, fine arts, music, dancing, calligraphy and some other specialties are especially popular with international students.
 
CNU is a testing base for HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test), a national research center of HSK for secretaries, and is authorized by the National HSK Committee. CNU is Beijing Mandarin Training and Testing Center and is the only training base of college entrance examinations for students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students.

School's Characteristics:

1. Testing base for HSK: application, tutoring, taking the examination (twice a year for elementary and intermediate level) can all be done at CNU.

2.
Instructors have rich teaching experience, many among whom have invigilated HSK domestically or overseas for many times.

3. The school's location is convenient for transportation, which is only 3 stops away from the Subway Station at Gong Zhu Fen and 1 minute walking distance to Bus Stop (No. 830, air-conditioned, its route is around the city).

4. CNU is a key university of Beijing being invested by both National Education Ministry and Beijing Municipal Education Committee and is well-quipped with teaching facilities.

Entry Requirements

Aged under 40 years old
Applicant should hold high school graduation or equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate
HSK level 7 or above

Application Materials

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.   Academic transcript of high school

5. Permission from the previous university for tranfer students
A student who has studied in China and wants to transfer to another university must provide the permission from original university
