The Long-term Chinese Language Course at Tianjin Foreign Studies University is a 1 Year long program for international students, taught in Chinese.

At present, the school has more than 10,000 full-time students, more than 1,000 master's and doctoral students, and the source of students covers 29 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. Nearly 600 international students from more than 70 countries study in various majors of our university. The school has excellent teachers, there are more than 700 full-time teachers, of which nearly 60% have overseas study experience, some majors reach more than 90%, and more than 100 foreign experts and teachers are hired all year round.

ProgramAbout the Program

Chinese language courses are divided into three levels: elementary, intermediate and advanced. Each level is subdivided into 2-3 sub-level classes. Students need to take placement test (written test and oral test) to decide which level of class they will be in. Each student is sure to find a class suitable for him or her at Tianjin Foreign Studies University.

About Tianjin Foreign Studies University

Tianjin University of Foreign Chinese is the only university in Tianjin with complete major foreign languages, literature, economics, management, law, education, art, engineering and other multidisciplinary coordinated development and distinctive characteristics, and is one of the first eight higher foreign language colleges in China to be set up independently.

The school has two campuses, Racecourse Road and Binhai, covering a total area of 1040.06 acres. Machang Road Campus is located in the city center, is the location of the famous Five Avenue style area, the campus buildings are mostly Western European classical style, elegant shape, is one of the ten scenic landmark buildings in Tianjin; Binhai Campus is located in the Dagang Higher Education Ecological Park of Binhai New Area, with a beautiful lake and beautiful scenery.

Accommodation

Accommodation cost: 50 RMB per day, double room. There is no need to reserve rooms in advance. If there are no special circumstances, students must live on campus during the semester.

Entry Requirements

1. Applicants must be 18-60 years old, non-Chinese citizens.

2. Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy, and abide by Chinese laws and the rules and regulations of Tianjin Foreign Studies University

Application Materials

1. A scanned copy of the Passport Information Page. For Spring semester, applicants shall submit a clear scanned copy of the passport that will not expire on or before April 1, 2024, and October 1, 2024 for Autumn Semester.

2. Foreigner Physical Examination Form

3. Certificate of Non-Criminal Record

4. A deposit certificate of more than 20000 RMB issued by the bank from the applicant or the economic guarantor.
