Changchun University of Science and Technology, formerly known as Changchun College of Optics and Fine Mechanics, was founded by the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1958 and is the first institution of higher learning in New China to train optical professionals. After more than 60 years of construction and development, the school has now become a provincial key university with distinctive optoelectronic characteristics and national defense characteristics, and is a joint construction institution of Jilin Province, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and Changchun City, enjoying the reputation of "the cradle of China's optical talents".

1. Non-Chinese citizenship, good health conditions, younger than 35 years old.
2. Have a bachelor degree or above, with a grade point GPA of 2.6/4.0 or higher.
3. Applicants who are non-native English speakers, must have IELTS 5.5, TOEFL (IBT) 80 or higher.
4. Applicants for the scholarship must meet the scholarship application requirements.
Application Materials
1. Application form;
2. Copy of a valid passport, including name, passport number, expiration date and photo;
3. One photo that matches the passport photo;
4. Notarized highest education certificate. If the applicant is a student at school, he must also submit a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he is attending. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
5. Study transcript. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
6. Study or research plan. No less than 500 words, written in Chinese or English.
7. Letter of recommendation. Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.
8. Applicants who are non-native English speakers provide proof of English proficiency, such as IELTS and TOEFL.
9. Indicate whether you are or not in China. If in China, please provide a copy of visa.
10. A copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" within the 6-month validity period.
11. Non-criminal certificate. A full body photo within 3 months and a full body video within 10 seconds.
12. Talents in arts, sports, etc. will be admitted first. Please provide corresponding certificates or performance videos.
