Business AdministrationInformation Management and Information Systems is a comprehensive class of economics, management theory, and information science. The objective of this major is to educate students so that they will master the construction of information systems, management theory and methods, undertake information management, the design and development of information systems, and the development and application of information resources to become an individual of universal talent. Such a person would be able to analyze economic systems, design, operate, and manage information systems, including electronic commerce systems. Main courses include Calculus, Geometry and Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Applied Mathematical Statistics, Operational Research, Principles of Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, General Management, Principles of Finance, Principles of Corporate Finance, Business Management, Principles of Accounting, Production and Operation Management, Programming Design Language, Data Structures, Principle & Application of Database, Computer Networks, Introduction of Information Management, Management Information Systems, Expert Systems and Decision Support Systems, Optimization Models and Software Tool, Introduction to Electronic Business, System Analysis and Design, etc. Application Schedule On-line application: March 1 – March16, 2012.

Hardcopies of application materials due: March 19 - March 30, 2012.

Entrance Examination (1) Subjects of Written Examination for Science, Engineering and Management Programs: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.

(2) Subjects of Written Examination for Law, Humanities and Social Sciences Programs: Basic Chinese Language, Chinese Writing, General Knowledge, and English.

(3) Subjects of Written Examination for Arts and Design Programs: Chinese Writing, General Knowledge, Sketch, Quick Sketch, and Color Painting.

Extra exams are requested for some programs: Sketch for Architecture Program, Oral Test for English and Japanese Programs, and Mathematics for Experimental Class of Social Sciences and Psychology.

Interview may also be requested by some department/schools. Date of Entrance Examination Written Examination: May 12 - 13, 2012

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1. Foreign citizens under 25 and in good health
2. Graduation from senior high school;
3. HSK Band 6 / new HSK Band 5 or aboveHydraulic and Hydropower Engineering.

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.  Academic transcript of high school

5.  HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Level 3 or above

6.  Two recommendation letters
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

7.  A notarization of guarantor in China
Only for applicants under 18 years old.
