ProgramAbout the Program

The major is designed to train professionals with basic knowledge of management, economics, law, and marketing, who can to get engaged in marketing activities with the capability of research, decision-making, resilience, and pioneering. They should be familiar with the characteristics and operation of the market rules of the industry (particularly the information industry).Graduates are competent for such position as marketing and management in enterprises, institutions and government departments (focusing on the telecommunications industry), and teaching and research as well. The major is featured with information technology, so graduates find their jobs mainly in the areas of telecommunications industry. Teachers of the major are experienced with strong research capacity. All the teaching and training activities are carried out from the perspective of marketing, which fully embodies marketing thinking that "ability" takes the priority. For a marketing personnel, efficiency, performance, effectiveness consist of the whole work. Students are trained for the target of marketing positions, with an innovative model, by implementing and supporting the requirements of marketing. Skills are emphasized in the teaching System, course content, and teaching methods, all of which are two innovative. Students in the first 2 years are trained in accordance with Business Administration as a largest category for a theoretical basis, and at the third school year they can finish their follow-up coursed in accordance with their own choice of specialties.

Chongqing university of Posts and Telecommunications (CUPT), founded in 1950, is one of the few universities that have been blue-printed and given priority to develop by the State, and has grown into a prominent university acknowledged by its excellent in the field of information industry in and out of China.

The university covers an area of 630 acres with a building area of 600,000 square meters. There are over 20,000 students, including more than 3,000 postgraduates. It owns a leading position in the R& D of Telecommunication network engineering and testing, next generation wideband wireless communication, computer networking and information security, intelligent information processing, industrial EPA and sensor networking, advance manufacturing, micro-electronics and specialized chip design and so on, and over 500 scientific projects in either state or provincial/ministry level have been assumed. National Technology Invention Award, National Science and Technology Progress Award, and so forth were granted to CUPT.  The university is ranked among top 100  of China in terms of science and technology, acknowledged as the national model for IT innovation and Hi-tech industrialization.
