CAU began to enroll foreign students in 1956. It has trained more than 1,000 students from over 20 countries. Chang’an University has set up communication and co operations with 110 colleges ,universities and research institutions from the United States, Russia and other countries and regions

ProgramAbout the Program

Civil engineering in the school of highway is a science and technology for designing and constructing various infrastructure such as houses, bridges, tunnels, urban underground space etc. The civil engineering discipline of Chang'an University was established in 1953. It is one of the earliest disciplines of the “211 Project” and “985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform”, and is also the construction content of "world-class disciplines" and "first-class disciplines in Shaanxi Province". In the early 1980s, geotechnical engineering was one of the earliest disciplines in China to train foreign students in engineering. In 2003, “Structural Engineering” and “Bridge and Tunnel Engineering” received the right to confer doctoral degrees. In 2006, the right to grant a doctoral degree in civil engineering was granted. In 2007, a postdoctoral research station was established. Entry Requirements

1. Non-Chinese citizens, in good health;
2. Abide by Chinese laws and regulations, respect Chinese customs and habits. Observe Chang’anUniversity discipline and school regulations;
3. Education and age requirements of the applicants:
(1) Those pursuing undergraduate majors must have a high school diploma and be under 25 years old;
(2) Those pursuing a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under 35 years old;
(3) Those pursuing a doctorate must have a master's degree and be under the age of 40.
4. Non-other scholarship recipients.

Application Materials

  1. A clearly scanned copy of the personal information page on the valid passport in color.
  2. A clearly scanned copy of the high school graduation certificate.
  3. A scanned copy of the high school academic transcript for the entire high school period.
  4. Proof of Chinese or English proficiency (HSK; IELTS, TOEFL, Duolinguo, SAT, GRE and other proofs of English proficiency)
  5. Physical Examination Certificate issued within the last 6 months
  6. Non-criminal record certificate issued within last 6 months
