Chinese Language Program

Founded in 1958, Zhejiang A & F University is located in Lin’an City (west of the popular tourist destination Hangzhou). It offering bachelor and master degrees in agriculture, technology, science, literature, management, law, economics, medicine, etc. Besides, ZAFU promotes international exchange and co-operation and has built up collaborative and academic relationships with 30 universities and academic institutes in more than 10 countries and regions, such as the USA and Canada. ZAFU has also built up sound ties with West Sydney University (Australia) and Alberta University (Canada) in joint education programs.

Established in 1958, Zhejiang A&F University (ZAFU) is a provincial-level key university jointly built by the provincial government and the National Forestry and Grassland Administration. Over the past 60 years, the university has grown to cover three campuses, with a total area of 213 hectares. As a multidisciplinary university, it offers eight discipline classes, with strengths in agriculture, forestry, and the biological environment. Currently, the disciplines of Engineering, Plant & Animal Science, Agricultural Science and Environment/Ecology rank in the top 1% of Essential Science Indicators; ZAFU is now ranked in the National Top 200 Universities according to the Academic Ranking of World Universities。

Students are classified by taking a proficiency test. A class is usually composed of 20-30 students

Make a booking online after you have been accepted (in this case please let us know your choice when you apply).

Register when you arrive - its not possible to reserve a room before arriving. You can arrive a few days before and book it

 Accommodation Fee (on-campus) About RMB 300 to 700 for one bed per month You should pay accommodation fees semiannually at least (6 months at one time).

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

Applicants should be aged between 18 and 28

Non-chinese citizens with valid foreign passports who are friendly to China; * Chinese citizens who apply for admission to colleges and universities as foreign students after immigration must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years within the last 4 years (before January 10 of the year of enrollment) (actual residence abroad for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, Subject to entry and exit signature)

Please bring the original with you when you come to China

For the students who have never studied in China： 

1） The Photocopy of Passport (the main page and the page with signature)

 2）Translated and notarized copy of final degree or diploma and transcript 

3） Police Certificate within one year 

4） Language proficiency certificate

 5） Other certificates or documents

 6）Foreigner physical examination form: bearing the stamp of the hospital. Physical examination results are valid for 6 months （ Includes a hair test to prove that the student has no history of drug use）

10） A Short Video of Self Introduction 

 11） Commitment without Drug Use History ( Must be submitted with handwritten signature)

 12） Application fee payment certificate. Pay and upload the certificate in the application submission interface, and note the personal  information format: name, nationality, passport number, amount

 13）  Photo（format: JPG format, color, 2-inch ID photo, white background , the head occupies 2/3 of the photo, no less than 320 * 240 pixels, aspect ratio is 4: 3, the size is 100-500KB.）
