Brief Introduction: This program will enable students to be qualified senior engineering technicians and management staff in the field of electrical engineering and automation. Graduates are expected to have expertise in electrified transmission and power system operation, automatic control, power electronics, information processing, experimental analysis, product development, technological management, the use of professional software and some electrical engineering related areas. Qingdao University is a new comprehensive university in Shandong Province, which was combined with the former Qingdao University, Shandong Textile Engineering Institute, Qingdao Medical College and Qingdao Teachers' College in 1993.

QU comprises of 25 colleges, 73 specialties with undergraduate programs covering literature, history, philosophy, law, economics, management, natural sciences, engineering, medical science, education, etc. There are 25 provincial key disciplines, laboratories, and engineering research centers, and 66 specialties with doctor and master programs.
We have 2,000 teachers, including one member of Chinese Academy of Science, two members of Chinese Academy of Engineering, and another 7 external academicians, 281 full professors, 868 associate professors.

At present, Qingdao University has three accommodation buildings specially provided for international students. They are the Mingxin Building (Mingxin Lou), buildings No.13 (Haoyuan N0.13 Lou), and New building (Xin Lou).

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1.  Aged 18 to 60 years old; 
2.  Be in good health condition
3.  Master's degree graduated or equivalent (or above); 
4.  Pass the entrance examination

1.  Photocopy of valid passport 
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included 

2.  Passport photo 
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant 

3.  Postgraduate school transcript 
Both in English and Chinese 

4.  Master's degree diploma 
Graduation certificate in both English and Chinese and be certified by notarization. 

5.  Two recommendation letter 
Recommendation letters from two associate professors, experts, or scholars with equal title.

6.  Certificate of employment 
Applicants who have a job should provide certificate of employment, no need for applicants who haven't work. Certificate should be written both in English and Chinese.
